The Iditarod. Is it the last great race on Earth?

The Iditarod Dog Sled Race will begin on Saturday, March 2nd in Anchorage, Alaska. It is often called The Last Great Race on Earth because it is so long and grueling. Students do some rate, distance, and hardship comparisons to decide if they agree that the Iditarod is really the Last Great Race on Earth.
