Organizing lesson plans, units, resources, links, IEP’s, and IEP meetings can be cumbersome and stressful. In this blog post, I’ll share my review of TARA, the Teacher HQ for Resources and Administration. Their stated goal is to prevent teacher burnout. In addition to sharing about the tool, you should also check out their 60+ tools for Student Engagement, and I’ll share about their teacher support quiz which will help you better support teachers. Let’s dive in to this awesome tool!

What Will Teachers Find Useful in Tara?

TARA is an online planner to help streamline your biggest teacher burdens. Every teacher will find it useful that they can do these helpful things.

Vetted and reviewed resources are available in the resource bank inside TARA with hundreds of downloadable lesson strategy templates ready for you to customize and use with your classroom.

How does TARA help Special Education Teachers Streamline?

In addition to the items all teachers need, special education teachers have additional features that save them times and helps keep them organized included:

  • A student progress monitoring tracker which includes the ability to view IEP’s at a glance,
  • Easy logging of IEP Meetings
  • Teams can customize observations
  • A quick export of progress reports for students
  • Everyone can easily get on the same page.

TARA is easy to set up with Google or Clever sign-on. Also, data is teacher-entered and does not access existing SIS or LMS data so sensitive student privacy data is protected. If you want to use TARA Sped HQ, up to five users can sign up and collaborate together for free as you work to organize your students and the progress they are making.

If you want to know more, look at their teacher information, and special education information or take a look at the screenshots I’ve included for you below.

Vetted and Reviewed Resources

In this example, I clicked brain breaks and found many resources to add brain breaks from task cards to free videos and other resources to add brain breaks to my classroom easily. These resources are so helpful and easy to use. It is worth it to sign up and go through the resource bank to collect the items you want to use. Even more, you can add these vetted resources as a bookmark to your resources inside TARA to easily find them again.

Scheduling and Tracking Meetings

So, I hope you’ll sign up for TARA like I did and start using the resources and tracking capabilities. In particular the tracking and tools in the SPED HQ section have many Special Education departments talking and collaborating on student progress in positive and exciting ways. TARA really can help teachers get organized and streamlined. Let me know what you think!
